Stapler Haemorrhoidectomy

Stapled haemorrhoidopexy or stapled haemorrhoidectomy is a surgical procedure that involves removal of abnormally enlarged Haemorrhoidal tissue ( Piles), follwed by repositioning of remaining Haemorrhoidal tissue back to its normal anatomic position. This procedure uses a circular stapler to reduce the degree of prolapse.

By this technique surgery is done 4 cm above from the anus, hence wounds is sensitive perianal area are avoided.

Thus reducing post operative considerably and facilities a speedier return to normal activities.

Another newer technique stapled transanal rectal resection STARR is used to receive rectal mucosal prolapse and ODS( Obstructive Defaecation Syndrome).
