Pilonidal Sinus

Pilonidal sinus is a type of sin infection which typically occurs at natal fold- grove between the two buttocks. That runs from just below the sacrum to the prolonged sitting, thick hairs and obesity are precipitating factors. Young adults are more commonly affected. Most common age is 15 to 35 years.

Usually there are multiple pits with are filled with fluid or pus & contains hairs.

There are several treatment options available, However excision of the sinus with coverage with same sort of reconsructive flap technique. Such as Z plasty or limberg flap.
